2. Be genuine. Honest buddies may wish to know you for whom you are, negative aspects and all!

3. You want to keep your thoughts about others to yourself before you know who you can trust.

4. Take your dirty clothes to the nearest laundry mat. You really don’t want to save all of it up so you can bring it back home and give it to your mum. She actually will not need five soiled laundry bags to take care of.

6. Join a few organizations in the beginning 7 day festivals. When you’re unsure it’s for you personally but you are intrigued write down an email address or contact address to obtain additional specifics in the future. It is sometimes difficult to find the appropriate contacts later, it’s actually a large area.

7. Phone your family’s house and also let your family know that you are okay, (despite the fact that you do not feel it). They are most likely even more worried compared to what you are.

8. Every person can feel a little homesick in the beginning, and concerned or maybe a little bit sad. Talk to different buddies you feel you can trust, and you can even email or phone friends from your high school.

9. You are only going to be at college or university for a handful of years, take full advantage of it, it will be over before you know it. Then later on you are going to miss the independence as well as the long holidays.

10. Make sure to bring your favorite sheets and blankets. Keeping your personal linens and also covers could make you feel far more at home. And when you are more at ease you will definitely get considerably more accomplished.

How To Manage A Wedding Car Business

Have you ever thought about running a wedding car business? Although it can be stressful, because you do not want to let anybody down on their big day, it is also fascinating and exciting.

Some of the benefits are that you get to own good-looking vehicles – maybe a Rolls Royce or a Bentley and they are tax-deductible; you meet new people under happy circumstances and you are in the position to help them have a wonderful wedding day.

It is a very demanding industry, because you always have to bear in mind the requirements of your clients and think about how you can fulfill and extend their’ wishes. That is difficult enough, but you also have to remain competitive. I hope that the following tips will be useful.

1] Take care of the conditions under which you keep your cars. If you can afford to garage them, they will not collect dust and bird droppings so the paintwork will look better for longer. Do not have a gravel drive, because of possible scratching to the coachwork of the vehicles.

2] Get one or two really lovely cars. You will need to do a bit of research to find out what couples in your area like, but as a rule of thumb a Rolls Royce or a Bentley are sure bets. Or maybe a stretch limousine. Old vehicles go down well too. Build up your fleet of cars step by step but increasingly. Offer your clients as much choice as you can realistically afford to do.

Many wedding couples will not only require the wedding car, but also vehicles for the guests. Many of them want limousines or old cars for their wedding day. But a lot of other vehicles are required for the guests. Be flexible and agree to decorate the vehicles according to the couple’s wishes with flowers and ribbons.

2] Employ good, compassionate personnel. A fully trained chauffeur is a necessity, but a military style driver can add to your firm’s image.

3] It is a good idea to offer different packages or elements that a couple can use to build a package. So, you could offer transportation from the bride’s house to the church as one element. From the church to the restaurant as another element and from there to the chosen hotel, the airport or the railway station, as another element.

4] Make certain that your clients know exactly how long they have exclusive use of the cars for. This is helpful for them, so that they know precisely how long they have to take photos, eat or chat.

Transport plays a huge and vital part in any wedding day celebrations. In fact, poorly timed or scruffy transportation can ruin a wedding day. If you let that happen, your firm’s reputation will suffer dreadfully, particularly in a town or village. You will need a high sense of responsibility; reliable, well-trained, sympathetic staff and high quality cars that look the part. White wedding vehicles are popular, but other colours are acceptable, especially for the guests.

Do Anger Management Articles Help?

Anger is a social issue which seems to be revealing great concern among many people nowadays. Maybe that is because it is a problem which can affects all generations, races, communities. In deed, anger has the ability to touch anybody without prejudice.

It is frightening for those who have to experience anger every day. Anger not only concerns the one affected but also all those they come into contact with daily. Because it is such a very important social issue in society today, people are always trying to develop programs to help those affected by anger-related issues.

Reading anger management articles can be helpful to someone who is affected by anger. There are different types of anger management articles, different in that they target specific groups such as teenagers, adults, men, women, couples, families and other social groups affected by anger.

These articles are meant to be informational; empowering individuals with useful knowledge regarding the problems of dealing with anger, anxiety, frustration and aggression. With guest writers and specialists in the area of anger management, these articles are packed full with interesting details and effective tools that people can take home and use to transform their feelings of anger into healthy, normal feelings.

Reading an anger management article can provide an individual with a chance to acquire new knowledge on anger management, which may in turn provide some relief; a chance for people struggling with daily feelings of anger, rage and frustration to find hope and encouragement. This would not only allow a victim or his friends/family to find some hope, but it would also provide them a chance to understand that others also face similar challenges. Sharing personal experiences may help people to own up to their problem and maybe discover underlying reasons for their anger and frustration.

A great part of helping an individual work through anger-related issues is support. Assuring the person that they have people they can rely on, people who will stand by them no matter what may arise, this is extremely relevant to people who are fighting daily to overcome problems with anger. Encouragement is also important. Encouraging the individual to go to support group meetings, talk to a counsellor or read an anger management article may make a huge difference in their treatment.

Yes, society appears to have a massive problem with violence, aggression, frustration and anger but, society is also attempting to create anger management programs to help decrease this sociological problem. Providing anger management certified people to work in public places such as schools, corrections, mental health centres, society is proving that they are concerned. Beside visiting counsellors, doctors and treatment facilities, people can also attend anger management courses and consult anger management articles and books

These opportunities are available to people who are serious about making positive changes in their lives, it certainly would be in their best interest to accept the opportunity. Consulting anger management articles might be the turning point for an individual. If the article is effective in reaching only a single person and making positive changes in their life and the lives of those around them, it was certainly worth writing.

Holidays And Holy Days

Congress and the president have designated ten days as federal holidays. Being ‘federal’, these holidays theoretically only pertain to federal employees and residents of the District of Columbia, although they are so widely observed that they can be thought of as national holidays.

Legally, it is up to each individual state to designate public holidays. If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the Friday before or the Monday following is given in lieu to make a long weekend.

New Year’s Day (January 1) – celebrating the New Year dates back to pre-Christian times, when rites were performed to attempt to ensure the return of Spring.

Martin Luther King Jnr. Day (third Monday in January) – before he was assassinated in 1968, Martin Luther King Jnr. was the principal civil rights leader in the 1950’s and 1960’s. He was given the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. Congress set this day aside to commemorate his life and achievements in 1983.

Washington’s Birthday (third Monday in February) – originally it was commemorated on Washington’s actual birthday, the 22nd of February, but it was moved in 1971 to make a long weekend. It is sometimes known as Presidents’ Day, because it is near Lincoln’s birthday on the 12th February.

Memorial Day (last Monday in May) – also called Decoration Day, it honours soldiers fallen in battle. It dates from the Civil War and is customarily marked by parades and services.

Independence Day (4th July) – this, the most significant US holiday, marks the 1776 signing of the Declaration of Independence from Great Britain. It was first celebrated in 1777 and is marked by fireworks, parades and speeches.

Labor Day (first Monday in September) – this, the suggestion of Peter J. McGuire, the president of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, was taken up in 1894 to celebrate American workers.

Columbus Day (second Monday in October) – Christopher Columbus and his crew landed in the Bahamas on Oct 12th 1492. It was first commemorated in 1792, although it was not officially adopted until 1909. It is a cause of special pride to Italian-Americans, who claim the Genoan voyager as their own.

Veterans Day (Nov 11th) – or Armistice Day commemorates the end of the First World War on Nov 11th 1918. It was made a legal holiday in 1938, but its name was changed in 1954 to honour all American veteran soldiers.

Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November) – it was first commemorated in Plymouth County, Massachusetts in 1621, the year in which the Pilgrims landed in the New World to give thanks for the new harvest and the new land they had colonized. President Lincoln proclaimed it a holiday in 1863.

Christmas Day (December 25th) – Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Inexpensive Wedding Favours

If you are holding a large wedding, that is one with many guests, the cost of wedding favours can be quite considerable, if you do not set a strict budget. One immediate method you could use to cut the cost of your wedding favours is to give one to each couple or single, rather than one to everybody who comes. The first decision to make is how much can you afford in total and then divide that by the number of guests in total and then divide it by the number of couples and singles.

This system will make it simpler for you to decide what you are going to do: get for everybody; buy for couples and singles and keep the rest for something else or give to couples and singles but buy more expensive gifts. If you still find that there is not a lot of money to go around, you will need to look for lower-priced wedding favours. I will offer you a few thoughts below to get you started.

Candles can be very successful, low-cost wedding favours. If you buy in bulk, you can get some really lovely candles at very affordable prices. You could get perfumed candles, maybe with the same smell as the bouquet the bride carried. You could also consider purchasing personalized ribbons to tie attractive bows around the candles and the ribbons could have your names and the wedding date on them.

Candy or chocolate is another kind of inexpensive wedding favour. There are many ways to go down this route. You can have the wrappers of popular candy bars custom-made; you could buy fairly expensive chocolate in bulk and wrap it up in a special way yourself or you could buy small boxes of gourmet chocolate.

Giving packets of flower or vegetable seeds is also an economical way of giving a practical wedding favour. Again, you could give seed packets of the flowers in the bride’s bouquet. The seed packets could be wrapped or boxed with your own special logo, names and wedding date. You could give them in a pot or tray too in order to make it even easier to sow the seeds.

A pen or pen and pencil set is also a reasonably inexpensive way of giving wedding favours. These pens can also display your wedding details such as names and date.

However, I am Welsh and so my favourite wedding favours are love spoons in miniature, say four inches long. Love spoons were given in Wales by a suitor to his beloved for hundreds of years and many love spoon carvers will make mini versions by hand for a small sum of money. These love spoon wedding favours can also be inscribed with the wedding details as they are typically made out of wood.

Another lovely touch is to insert a stamped, self addressed envelope to your wedding favour present, with a short note asking the recipient to get in touch with you soon, so that you do not let too much water go under the bridge.

About Clinical Depression

Depression is a mental illness that is often characterized by prolonged periods of sadness and melancholy, experts from the field of psychiatry say.

However, just because one person slopes around and hates the world in general, it doesn’t necessarily mean that he/she is suffering from depression, but if this kind of behaviour, that feeling of emptiness, loss of self-worth and absolute lack of hope for happiness goes on , then, that person is probably, indeed, depressed. Still, there are several types of depression too.

Manic or Bipolar depression is notable for sudden and extreme mood swings – one minute he or she is euphoric while the next minute (day or week), he or she feels as if he or she is hades.

Postpartum depression – characterized by a prolonged sadness and a feeling of emptiness by a new mother where physical stress during child birth, an uncertain sense of responsibility towards the new born baby can be just some of the possible reasons why some new mothers go through this.

Dysthimia – characterized by a slight similarity with depression, although this time, it’s been proven to be a lot less severe, but of course with any case of illness, should be seen to immediately.

Cyclothemia – characterized by a nominal similarity with Manic or Bipolar depression wherein the individual suffering from this mental illness suffers from severe changes in mood.

Seasonal Affective Disorder – characterized by depression only during specific seasons (i.e. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall). However, studies prove that more people actually fall ill during the Winter and Fall seasons, which suggests that light plays a role. Or they could suffer from severe mood swings, wherein a person’s mood may shift from happy to sad to angry in quite a short space of time.

‘Clinical depression’ or ‘major depression’, as some call it, is the actual medical term for depression. Actually, clinical depression is more a disorder than an illness, because it refers to those who are suffering from the symptoms that cause depression.

However, despite it being an actual disorder, clinical depression can be treated very successfully. Doctors are usually very optimistic that patients suffering from clinical depression will soon be well on their way to regaining good mental health if they are treated as soon as they have been diagnosed. Patients who have sought treatment for clinical depression have proven to be quite successful in their hopes, given that 80 percent of those treated have found relief from their illness.

If you are seeking answers to questions related to clinical depression, the depression section of the health center can be highly recommended, as well as books on psychiatry and the Internet, which offers a great deal of useful information, although self treatment is highly disapproved of. Clinical depression may not pose as great of a threat as the other types of mental illness, but it is best to leave to the professionals who can attend to and banish this disorder.

Clinical depression is often a very debilitating disorder and is so distressing to suffer or witness. Learn more here: Treating Depression You are welcome to reprint this article – but get your own unique content version here.

The Ancient Roots of Barry, South Wales: Part 2.

In the 18th. Century evidence of Neolithic man was discovered in the form of dishes, saws, knives, flints, a scraper, a prehistoric horn celt with obscure markings, a spokeshave and some arrowheads, amongst other things. Unfortunately, although these things reside safely in the Museum of Cardiff, no one thought it worth excavating at the time and now residences stand on the sites.

They also found an ancient Roman kitchen complete with utensils and food remains which appeared to have been abandoned in a hurry like the Marie Celeste. That wasn’t investigated either. In 1533, the King’s Antiquary, Leland, was told to tour all places where records were held. It took him nine years and his description of the island was as follows:

“It is about a mile in circumference and has good corn, grass and some wood, and there is no dwelling on the Island, but in the midst of it is a fair little Chapel of St. Baruch which is visited by many pilgrims. It took the name Barri from this holy man who was buried there and whose remains are yet on the Island”. (The Welsh name for Barry is Y Barri).

Viking raiders attacked the south Wales coastline, often taking hostages from monasteries in the 10th. Century, but they did not try to settle in the area. The island was long known as the Saints Retreat or the Island of Saints. Later, in the early 16th. Century, the island was used by smugglers and pirates and was nicknamed the Smugglers Fortress. This coincided with the increase in shipping to and from Bristol, Britain’s second biggest port at the time.

Barry Island soon became the centre of piracy and smuggling in the Bristol Channel. In 1784, the island became known as the “Fortress of Knight”. Knight was the most prolific pirate and smuggler in the channel and people were to terrified to speak out in court against him., although he was also considered a bit of a local hero. His armed ship was called ‘John O’ Combe’. He was eventually forced out to Lundy, which he also fortified. He and his successor, Arthur, returned to Barry so frequently that H.M. Customs asked the government to station a cutter in Penarth and 60 troops to Barry.

The small seaside village of Rhoose, five miles from Barry, was so well-known for its wreckers that George II sent troops to break up them up. They landed at Aberthaw, just up the coast a bit further, “the Rhoose men’s favourite landing zone, from where they could easily transport the contraband along Port Road to Cardiff, the main market for such things”. While digging out for the docks at Barry in the late nineteenth century, several large caves were filled in. They had probably been used by the pirates who were moved on in about 1850.

Anger Management And Spousal Violence.

How is anger management connected to domestic violence? Well, put simply, most people that abuse their spouse in this type of situation, get angry due to some anti-social disorder in their subconscious mind. Anger is one of the main characteristics of personality disorder, which include paranoia, schizophrenia, schizoid, antisocial, psychopathic, histrionic and sociopathic personalities.

Most people who are abusive in relationships have anti-social personalities. The anti-social personality type often attacks when he or she is drunk or under the influence of some other drug. This is not true in all instances of course, but it is true in most circumstances. Anti-social personality types often disregard rules and regulations and usually feel that they are allowed to do so. Anti-social personality types are control freaks and if you do not conform to their authority, they often vent their anger in a controlling or violent way.

Anti-social types will often humiliate, intimidate, brutally physically abuse and mentally belittle their spouse, but the domestic abuse does not usually stop there. This type of individual has never proven to be likely to respond to anger management techniques. In other words, men that batter their wives will usually continue to do so until someone gets seriously injured. It is not a good idea to engage with this type of person, as there is rarely any hope at all of them controlling their anger. This type will often beat a spouse, until they only want to kill them. This means someone could die, since this sort of person will become angrier and angrier as the years pass and will rarely ask for anger management help with their domestic violence.

Even if he or she does get anger management help for domestic violence, it very often fails. It is not recommended to start a relationship with this sort of person. The signs are a wild appearance or wild expressions, laughing for no apparent reason, laughing at a situation where a person was injured, outbursts of anger for no reason et cetera. This sort of person is superficial and will often lead you to believe that he or she is a model to society, when behind closed doors the brute shows himself.

Hate is the underlying source of this person’s anger, and hate has proven to kill. A deep-seated jealousy is also underlying the anger issues within these types of individuals. Many of this type of angry persons take drugs, including cocaine, crack, marijuana and others. They often exceed the safety limit for alcohol consumption and this only increases the odds of them flying into a rage.

An example of bad anger management and domestic violence can be seen in a small town called Dowagiac in Michigan, a man tried to kill several women but was still allowed to go free. Little anger management help was provided to this man and often his furious attacks were simply because he felt that he could not control his victims. The victims were left without justice and a few even believed that they could change his angry ways.

Pretty soon he was sitting in the county jail on a string of charges, including assault of a police officer and hit and run. The police, according to witnesses, claim that the criminal had a weapon and was drunk when he tried to elude arrest and marijuana was found in his vehicle. This person had a continuous history of brutality but the justice system let those victims down, which led to more anger management problems.

Another example of bad anger management is in borderline personality types. These people, when feeling alone, will attack others. Sometimes they are physically abusive, but most of the time they are verbally and mentally abusive. The partner has only to go to work, say, and when he or she returns home, they will be accused of having done something terrible.

The abusive person with anger management problems might even call the workplace of the partner numerous times to check that he or she is not spending time with someone else. This is another type of domestic violence from an angry person that seldom gets better, and like the anti-social personality types, these people are dangerous and manipulative.

Paranoid types are also dangerous and manipulative but their anger can never be predicted. In most cases, these types act on voices perceived to be inside or outside their head. Like the antisocial types, the paranoid type rarely has justifiable reason for their behaviour. In most cases, it is merely a control issue. This means that if the victim is uncontrollable he or she will react angrily and violently.

Should You Be Getting Anxious over Anxiety Depression?

A lot of people that burn the candle at both ends, exhaust not only all their physical strength, but they also tend to over extend their mental powers to the point where they plainly need some old fashioned time out.

A lot of busy people who are unable to understand the idea of relaxing and taking time of from work, as well as from their worries, have nervous breakdowns, anxiety depression and all sorts of mental illnesses that cause a person’s mental health to go haywire. Fortunately, if you are one of those people who is unable to relax and who is always worried and fussing over things, there are several cures and treatments available for dealing with anxiety depression.

Anxiety depression is actually characterized by all sorts of irregular behaviour and erratic moods in the person suffering from it. This is usually because of specific stress triggers. Furthermore, a lot of people who tend to get easily worked up over stressful activities are actually prone to having anxiety depression. It is actually a matter of being strong-willed when it comes to facing difficult and stress-prone activities. It may be pretty hard to do at first, but trying to be calm and cool in times of extreme pressure is what will actually save your mental health from going into a downward spiral.

When it comes to effectively curing yourself of a mental disease, one must keep in mind that one must be honest with oneself and assess what kind of depression or mental illness your suffers from. See to a reputable psychiatrist to get yourself diagnosed properly as well to get the correct depression treatment. Here are the various kinds of depression:

Manic or Bipolar depression – characterized by sudden and extreme changes in one’s mood where one minute the sufferer is in an elevated state of euphoria while the next minute (day or week) the sufferer is in a personal hell.

Postpartum depression – is characterized by lengthy periods of sadness and a feeling of emptiness in a new mother where physical stress during child delivery and / or an undefined sense of responsibility towards the new born child are just some of the possible reasons why some new mothers go through this illness.

Dysthimia – is characterized by a slight similarity with bipolar (manic) depression, although in this case, it has been seen to be a lot less severe. However, doctors say that any case of depression should be treated at once.

Cyclothemia – characterized by a similarity with Manic or Bipolar depression wherein the person suffering from this mental illness may occasionally suffer from severe changes in one’s moods.

Seasonal Affective Disorder – is recognizable by falling into a rut only during specific seasons (i.e. Winter, Spring, Summer or Autumn). However, studies show that more people become depressed during the Winter and Autumn seasons. And lastly, mood swings, where a person’s mood may change from happy to sad to angry in a relatively short period of time.

However, the kind of depression that has been shown to be most common is anxiety depression, which is actually recognizable when someone is being overly anxious about some things. Anxiety is a natural behaviour that actually will help people cope more with certain stressful activities like a first date or a gruelling exam the following day. Anxiety does actually help you get ready for dealing with certain “difficult situations”. Therefore, anxiety is actually a good thing.

Anxiety depression however, is quite the opposite. However, it should not be lightly dismissed as a “case of the jitters”. Anxiety depression is in actuality an disease that can be caused by the actual DNA of a person, or, in other words, it can be a family.

Moreover, there are even quite a few sorts of anxiety depression too. Each type has its own unique characteristics. Take for instance Generalized Anxiety Disorder or GAD. This type of anxiety depression is much more complicated than the normal, common or garden anxiety depression, despite it probably being a daily routine for those who suffer from this anxiety depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder actually makes the individual much more paranoid than normal. Anxiety attacks are much more frequent, even absurdly so at times.

Suffers can become anxious even when there is no real explanation that calls for them to behave in that manner. Those people suffering from Generalized Anxiety Disorder often show several symptoms ranging from from lack of sleep, to being unable to relax, getting tired easily, inability to concentrate and suffering from depression. However, this sort of anxiety depression is still curable though.

You should consult a reputable cognitive behavioural therapist who will recommend the therapy that you need to help you to relax. Moreover, prescribed medicines are a necessity to help these individuals combat anxiety attacks, assist them to calm down and help them relax.

About Anger Management Technique

Dealing with anger is never easy, since people are continually facing problems and reasons for conflict. However, our anger management technique is very important. We have to deal with price increases, arguments, war, violence, crime, everyday common stupidity and continuous interruptions. There is not one solitary, single person in this sometimes difficult world that has not gotten angry at some point in time.

Anger is an emotion we all have to cope with. Anger comes in many forms, but the root of anger is hatred or frustration as a result of a previous deception or disappointment, which boils down to poor anger management technique. This is true. But, true or not, even in the Bible it says that when the first man and woman were created on the earth, the first noted problem was when the Devil, in the form of a serpent, lied, deceiving Eve. Once the lie became apparent, the world began suffering many problems, including violence, murder, war, shortages, disease, weather disasters and so forth.

Since that first lie, the world has become more chaotic and continues to worsen as the years roll by. We can examine how a lie can instigate anger by looking at one individual scenario. That person engaged in criminal activities, like stealing, writing bad checks, and selling prescription medications. Now that person had to embroider lying into the picture, since she felt that her behaviour and actions were only a means of survival.

So, she started lying to cover up her wrong-doing. As the years went by, she became angry and could not cope, solely as a result of the way she was behaving, her way of thinking, the way she was conducting her life and her poor anger management technique. She began to react like anyone else suffering from uncontrolled anger would behave.

This included, undermining others, insulting others, verbally and physically assaulting, threatening, belittling, mocking, et cetera. The woman was diagnosed with mental illness, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar. She also had health issues, including diabetes. Now, if we look at all the aspects of that person’s anger and anger management technique, we can see, if we search deep enough, that her lying, which caused paranoia, was the basic reason for her behavioral problems.

These days, so many people have a problem with their anger management technique. Many of the people with post-traumatic stress disorder react in an angry way because they are reacting to a flashback in memory. Yes! People with post traumatic stress disorder often repress their negative emotions and when they get in a violent situation or are angered, it is often the result of fighting the sources that caused their trauma in the first place and not the person in their present vicinity.

However, we do not see this as the reason for the woman’s anger, since she did not show signs of it to the public. Therefore, people would exclude posttraumatic stress disorder as the cause, or at least skip over the chance of it. Now let’s take a look at diabetes, since this illness affects the nerves. The shortage of insulin creates additional problems, and many people with diabetes will become upset for little or no reason at all.

However, most people do not act angrily, assault, insult or attack others . If we examine why crimes are committed, we see that very often, serious behavioural problems come from having told lies. Therefore, when we look at this woman’s situation again, we can see that we have to think about the underlying problems that is her lying and get her to move on, avoiding bouts of frustration, anxiety and anger by using some form of anger management technique.

Now, this person is in denial, which means that until the legal system makes her take steps to anger management technique, then she probably will not get help herself. In addition, even if the criminal justice system does force her to get help, it probably will not work, since she has been in denial for probably many years. Now we are dealing with a real problem in anger management technique , since her behaviour is life long, which means extensive therapy will beneeded.

Anger is a normal emotion, but when it interferes with another person’s life, it becomes a serious problem. This person is not hurting only one person, she is injuring society as a whole, because when she steals or writes bad checks, society pays through tax increases, as well as other levies. One of the worst problems that I have noticed with this type of person, is that the system and society allows it to continue; only attempting to deal with it when the person is in custody. Once the person is released, then it continues again. This is a sequence of events involving lack of control due to anger mis-management and bad anger management technique.
